JESSICA ASHLEY LYNCH

 

BIO 

Jessica Lynch is currently a first-year MFA student in Dance at Rutgers University and serves as a Part-Time Lecturer in the Mason Gross Dance Department.  She is a choreographer, performing artist, educator, and activist. Jessica was born in Queens, NY, and currently resides in Stroudsburg, PA. She attended Professional Performing Arts School, in affiliation with The Ailey School, and then received her BFA Degree in Performance and Choreography at The College at Brockport. During her time there, Jessica took her studies abroad in Kingston Jamaica at the Edna Manly School of Visual and Performing Arts, where she studied African and Jamaican folk dance. She performed in residency with BrazzDance in Miami. Upon return, she took on the role of Program Associate at the Ailey School, Junior Division

Program. She became a First Steps instructor at the Ailey School, a choreographer at Elmont

Memorial High School, and a guest teaching artist throughout the NY tristate area. Jessica has

choreographed several pieces that have been performed at SUNY Brockport, ACDA, Edna Manly

School, The Apollo Theatre, and The Walt Whitman Theatre. Jessica served as an Administrative Manager and Project Manager for the School of Dance, at Ballet Hispánico. She is currently working as an independent artist throughout the tri-state area.
